My mom figures the odds of them winning are 50/50
I can't figure out why these people would be so stupid as to partake in a self-exclusion program, but continue to do what they are self excluded from. lmfao |

They're addicted & trying to get over their addiction, that's all. & the casino doesn't care about helping them until they win & the casino has to shell out money to someone who asked for help in stopping.
It would be like an alcoholic trying to set their life straight by circulating their picture at all the local bars, saying "DO NOT SERVE ME!" but all the bars ignoring it just to keep getting money. If the person got arrested for a DUI, I'm sure they could sue the bar that served them after specifically asking them to turn them away.
Not everyone can control their urges of their own accord, & yeah, the woman who lost over $330,000 should have figured out that what she was doing wasn't working & tried something else, but the system is extremely flawed as well.
Either offer the self-exclusion & back it up with support, or don't offer it at all. |

Honestly, this appears to be a service provided by the casino, they were not providing this service while it was giving them a profit, when they would have to shell out money, they provided the service. While they would still clearly have made money, now they're probably liable for other losses encurred.
Or maybe not, I dunno, I'm a biology major who's been painting for two weeks. |

You've pretty much got it. From the way the article is worded, it sounds like it's a service that all the casinos in the area agreed to provide & are "providing" to the same extent. |

haha that's fucked up. I think the casino should pay him the money. They didn't kick him out when he was losing. Fuckem... |

yeah, the casino screwed up, but it still comes down to taking responsibility for your own actions. The dude didnt complain that they let him gamble until he won. Every casino Ive gone in, there is no way they would know who comes in and out. They don't card people as they enter the casino. Sorry, but my opinion is that the dude should get nothing. |
